Ward Spotlight

I thought this was pretty fun. Our ward asked us to do a spotlight for the back of the program and I thought it was a fun questionaire you all might like reading.

Where you're from and where you are going. How long you've lived here and how long you plan on living here. Occupations, Hobbies & Interests. Goals & Aspirations.

Becca is from Davenport, Iowa and Jason grew up in Westminster, Colorado and moved to Plano, Texas when he was 15. Jason served in the California Roseville mission and Becca served in Chile Santiago East. Jason graduated in Recreation Management and Becca graduated in Secondary Education Spanish and English as a Second Language Teaching. They met at BYU in 2006 married and moved to the east coast where Becca finished school in DC and Jason worked repairing and installing home security systems. Isaac was born in August and we moved to Downers Grove in September. Jason is applying to law school for next fall. We hope to get be able to stay in Downers Grove (or close) while he goes to school and hopefully forever after that if he gets a job in Chicago. We both like to play sports a lot, volleyball, basketball, racquetball, baseball, and football and enjoy exercising. We love music, art, and photography. Jason loves to fix computers and anything electronic and loves learning and problem solving. Becca loves languages and likes to learn about cultures. She also enjoys cooking and learning about health and fitness. She is a homemaker right now and is Isaac's, biggest fan. Isaac loves to smile and laugh and scoot around the house in his walker or on his belly.
Jason hopes to become a lawyer in maybe child and family law or buisness/entertainment law. He plans on taking his wife on many missions.
Becca wants to get a master's degree in high school counseling or administration and work with immigrant students in the public schools. She would also like to coach and mentor students in after-school activities. (And hopes one of the their mission calls leads them back to Chile!)
Isaac looks forward to learning zone defense, how to audible, switch hit, reading Pablo Neruda, install a processor, and going on a mission.

Isaac thinks he can crawl

but he can't. It's pretty cute to watch him try to figure out how he can move. He his the happiest when we are holding his hands walking around with him through the house. He always wants to be moving. It can get pretty frustrating to him at times when he just can't go where he wants to alone.

This is his move I like to call the plank. Look at those rippling hamstrings :)

About a week before Christmas he started getting his legs underneath him but they just keep sliding out or he lunges forward since he can't quite move his hands yet while holding himself up.

He sure is getting closer, only a matter of time before we have to really watch what we are keeping on the ground.Oh yeah, he's also sitting up by himself now!
