Isaac made his first road trip! We went to Denver this last week for Andrew's baptism and James' graduation from CU with his doctorate. He says he actually prefers "Dr. J" so there is no mix up with my dad, Dr. McDonald and obviously because of his mad basketball skills in addition to his mad electromagnetic graphing skills... or something like that. :) anyway, it's funny because it makes us all feel old for even knowing who Dr. J is! Kids these days know as much about the great Dr. J as they do about Yogi Bear... can I use those same to "people" in a sentence? oh well, I just did.
Andrew was baptized Thursday afternoon and a lot of us were able to make it out. It was great to have the family there, we missed those who couldn't make it and really hope we get to see them soon!!! On the left is Megan's family and the McDonald clan is, well, everywhere else.James graduated from Colorado University with his PhD! Go James, lots of hard work and years later, you get a funny hat (and a raise! :)) We are sooooo proud of him and were glad that everything worked out so that we could be there.
Isaac is such a champ. He was great in the car and was patient with us as we drove and he did wonderfully on the hike too! We hiked up Mt. Sanitas Friday afternoon with the cousins, Katie, James, Jason, me and grandma. It was a lot of fun. Isaac was giggling all the way up and slept the whole way down.
