Shannon's Wedding and Utah Trip

Last week our family took a trip to Utah for Shannon's wedding. Shannon has been like a sister to me; we've been friends since our freshman year in college. My dad even claims her as his adopted daughter! It was a lot of fun to be in Utah again. In some ways it felt like home since we lived there for so long and we've been away for so long it felt good to be back. Shannon looked beautiful in her dresses; Matt is one lucky guy, I hope he knows what a good thing he's got!

 

Oh my, that cake was soooo yummy. The inside was an almond flavored cake with raspberries in the layers. And seriously, you can't go wrong with chocolate covered strawberries (on the outside).

 
Isaac was quite the ladies man. Everywhere we went everyone commented on how adorable he is, of course i have to agree. This is his new girlfriend, Tina, Shannon's friend from U of Illinois. He was such a good boy and didn't complain once about the crazy new schedule and the new nap times and places to take a nap, and he was so good for whoever was holding him. He loves people. At the airport he would dive out of my lap and go around the gate introducing himself to everyone.

Of course we had to take him to BYU to get some great shots with him at the Y. We picked up a BYU shirt for him as well so we can brainwash him.

On the plane from Denver to Chicago there were only 30 people on it so we had plenty of room. It was really nice. Isaac enjoyed some light reading and refreshments. He is very safety conscientious (NOT! Proof below...) He loved sitting in the seat like his mom and dad.

Jason had some of his boxes from work next to the piano and Isaac has found a new fascination with climbing anything and everything.
